The US Embassy in Armenia, in response to a VOA inquiry into an American-made Boeing 737 aircraft registered in Armenia, which appeared in Iran, noted:

"The US government is aware of the allegations that the plane registered in the name of an Armenian company deviated to Iran. We urge all parties involved in this matter to immediately clarify the location and status of the aircraft. US law prohibits the transfer or otherwise supply of US-made aircraft and aircraft spare parts to Iran. "Institutions involved in such actions may fall within the scope of US sanctions."

It should be reminded that a few days ago information appeared in the press, according to which the American-made Boeing 737 aircraft registered in Armenia appeared in Iran under unknown circumstances. There were suspicions that it had been stolen. The Civil Aviation Committee provided its comment on this issue.
